User Types:
Within Opsimize, there are three user types; these being:
- Company Users - Users who have access to view all sites within the Opsimize Company (Often Head Office / GM's / Owners)
- Site Users - Users who have access to view all business Units within a specified Site (Often Site Mangers)
- Business Unit Users - Users who have access to only a specified Business Unit in one Specified Site (Often FOH or BOH Staff Members)
User Permissions:
Beyond the user types, you also have the ability to apply specific user permissions on a per user basis, giving you granular level control as to what the users can see or do. The user permissions are relevant to the user type; with the full set of permissions below:
Creating New Users:
New User Accounts can be created by Company Users, and are done so on the Settings>>Users Page:
Select the Add "+" button next to the User Type you would like to add, and complete the necessary setup. Do note that Passwords are required to be complex, meaning that at a minimum they need a password to contain:
- Upper & Lower Case Characters
- Number
- Special Character
Editing Existing Users
You can edit existing users, including:
- Name
- Password
- PO Authorization Status
- Account Permissions
Select the Edit User Icon on the specific user account to do so.
Archiving Users
By default, the User page only shows active users, you can archive a user by selecting the "Wand" icon. This will hide the user from this page, and also disable the user from entering Opsimize.
To view Archived Users, select the search icon, and set the Active Search Dropdown to "No"
Changing User Types (Promoting Users)
You can promote users from lower User levels (Business User Type), to high user levels. Note that you cannot demote a User!!!
