We always allowed you to "Archive an Ingredient" but we never really did it the right way. It was always cumbersome and we identified this as something we can improve.
In order to Archive an Ingredient you must obey the below set of rules;
- If an Ingredient is linked to a "Recipe" you must first remove it from all the "Recipes"
- If the Ingredient is no longer linked but the system has a recorded inventory amount against it, we will create a "Waste Record" so that the total expected count value becomes 0 on the next stock take.
- The Ingredient will be "Archived" but we will keep it in the next stock take, simply mark as "0" again ongoing and this will be removed by our "Auto Ingredient" purge feature.
To Archive an ingredient follow the steps below;
1) Menu Items > Ingredients > "Select Ingredient" and hit the "Archive" button
2) If the Ingredient is in a "Recipe" simply remove it
3) Remove the "Recipe Line"
4) Check for the success message
5) Check your "Wastage Record", clearly displaying its a direct result of an "Ingredient Archive"
6) Mark it as "Inventory" 0 on the next stock take and its gone until "Activated" again.
